Eating out is one of the real pleasures of life - especially when you find a first class restaurant on your doorstep.
Going out for a celebratory meal with family and friends, or just for a special treat, can prove to be a highlight of the week.
One couple aiming to build up a first class reputation in the local area are Chris and Anne Sykes – owners of the Regent Restaurant in Regent Road, Yarmouth .
The couple moved to the East Coast from Nottingham and took over the Regent in mid-June.
As well as aiming to offer good food, fine wines and tempting menus that make the most of fresh local produce, the couple have plans to improve the restaurant itself.

They will keep it open during the winter and have already finalised details of their Christmas menu. They especially hope to welcome parties of diners.
There are plans to redecorate the restaurant during the next few months and to install air conditioning by next summer.
And looking ahead Chris and Anne (pictured), hope to carry out a full refurbishment within the next year or so.
The Regent is a family-run restaurant with a staff of 12 including three chefs, two kitchen porters and seven waiting staff.
You can find The Regent Restaurant at 71 Regent Road, Great Yarmouth. Opening times are from 11am to 11pm until October and then for the winter the restaurant opens from 5pm to 10pm on weekdays and from 11am to 10pm at weekends, closed on Mondays.
