Global Travel, based at Great Yarmouth College, hosted a presentation
evening on Canada in conjunction with 1st Class Holiday on Tuesday,
April 8.
1st Class Holidays has built its reputation and success by specialising
in holidays in Canada and Alaska and has recently added America,
Australia and New Zealand to its portfolio.
The firm can tailor trips to meet clients' requirements from independent
travel to fully escorted tours. Global Travel commenced trading
in 1999 at Great Yarmouth College and is owned by Nicola Adams.
Nicola and colleague Michelle Page have more than 40 years experience
within the travel industry and have been joined recently by Jenny
Merkis who has extensive travel experience visiting many destinations
throughout the world - gaining a wealth of first hand knowledge
to pass on to customers.
Jenny was also a student at the Yarmouth College attending the
ABTAC travel course which held her in good stead for her new position.
Global Travel works alongside the college which includes teaching
and supporting travel and tourism students while offering a travel
agency to students and general public alike.
"The majority of business is generated from outside the College"
says Michelle "and we have a strong repeat business base which
creates word of mouth recommendations" Global Travel is unique
to this area as an independent travel agency offering unbiased opinions
and recommendations for their clients.
The agency belongs to the Global Travel Group consortium which
gives then the opportunity to be competitive on prices.
Global offer all types of travel products be it an overnight hotel
at the airport, UK break, flights, cruise, packaged holidays and
tailor made itineraries.
Nicola said: "We are fully flexible and can put together almost
anything the client requires."
Holiday Options offer high standard accommodation matched with
flights from Norwich to Croatia and Sardinia.
P&O offer a good range of UK departures for their cruise programme
and their fleet of ships continues to grow.
Brochures for the main 2009 programme are due to be launched during
April and to receive a copy contact Global Travel who will take
your details and send out to you.
Travellers, a local firm, works alongside Global Travel to offer
clients private transfers to and from their UK departure point or
to their destination within the UK - taking the stress away and
allowing the holiday to begin at clients' own homes.
The unusual thing about Global Travel is its location inside a
college and Nicola says: "Even after almost nine years trading
many people are unaware of us there and it is often recommendation
of the service we give that brings new clients to our office.
"Once we have helped with their arrangements clients return
time and time again".
Global Travel offers an appointment service throughout
the week and is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm with late
night opening on Tuesdays until 8pm and Saturdays by appointment
only.
